Shape Africa’s Digital Future at AfIGF 2026
The Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) 2026 is pleased to announce its Call for Session Proposals and Speakers.
Stakeholders from across Africa and beyond are invited to contribute to one of the continent’s leading multistakeholder platforms for dialogue on digital governance, innovation, policy, and cooperation.
Hosted by the Government of Ghana in partnership with the Africa IGF Secretariat, AfIGF 2026 will take place in Accra, Ghana, from 2–5 November 2026, bringing together policymakers, regulators, the technical community, civil society, academia, the private sector, youth leaders, parliamentarians, members of the judiciary, and international organizations to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping Africa’s digital future.
Overarching Theme: Advancing Africa’s Digital Future Through Innovation, Inclusion, and Trust
As Africa accelerates its digital transformation journey, AfIGF 2026 will explore how innovation, inclusive digital development, and trusted digital ecosystems can drive sustainable growth, resilience, and prosperity across the continent.
We invite proposals that are innovative, inclusive, and action-oriented, fostering meaningful multistakeholder dialogue and contributing to practical policy outcomes.
Sub-Themes
Session proposals should address one or more of the following thematic areas:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies
- Digital Inclusion and Meaningful Connectivity
- Cybersecurity and Digital Trust
- Gender and Youth Inclusion in Digital Governance
- Human Rights, Online Safety, and Platform Governance
- Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)
- Digital Technologies and Climate Change
- Digital Sovereignty
Programme Overview
The Forum will commence on 2 November 2026 with dedicated Day 0 activities, including special tracks and engagement platforms for youth, children, parliamentarians, the judiciary, newcomers, and other stakeholder groups. These sessions will provide opportunities for focused dialogue, networking, and capacity-building ahead of the official Forum programme.
The official AfIGF 2026 programme will take place from 3–5 November 2026 and will feature:

Submit a Session Proposal
Organizations, institutions, networks, and individuals are encouraged to submit proposals that promote diverse participation, cross-sector collaboration, and actionable outcomes for Africa’s digital future.
Whether you are a policymaker, researcher, youth leader, civil society advocate, technical expert, academic, parliamentarian, member of the judiciary, or private sector representative, your contribution can help shape the continent’s digital agenda.
