The Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) serves as the primary platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue on Internet governance issues across the continent. It brings together governments, civil society, the private sector, technical community, and academia to discuss policies, share best practices, and build partnerships that drive Africa’s digital development. The AfIGF Main Track hosts key sessions, workshops, and high-level discussions focused on empowering Africa’s digital future.
The 14th African Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF 2025), taking place from 29–31 May 2025 in Dar-es Salam.
The Youth Track of AfIGF empowers young people to actively participate in Internet governance processes. Through tailored sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities, the Youth Track equips Africa’s next generation of digital leaders with the skills, knowledge, and networks they need to advocate for a more inclusive, open, and innovative Internet. It is a space where young voices influence the future of digital policy and technology in Africa.

The Parliamentary Track engages lawmakers and policymakers from across Africa in focused discussions on Internet governance, digital rights, cybersecurity, and legislative frameworks. It strengthens the capacity of parliamentarians to craft informed policies that promote digital inclusion, innovation, and human rights. This track bridges the gap between governance processes and legislative action for a resilient and thriving digital economy.
The 2025 parliamentarian session is scheduled to hold on 29th May 2025.
The African School on Internet Governance (AfriSIG) is a flagship capacity-building initiative that trains African leaders in the principles and practice of Internet governance. Targeted at emerging leaders across sectors, AfriSIG offers an intensive learning environment to deepen understanding, foster collaboration, and prepare participants to meaningfully engage in national, regional, and global Internet governance forums.
The African School on Internet Governance (AfriSIG) is scheduled for 24 – 28 May 2025.
