VENUE
Nigeria, located in West Africa, is a country with a rich and diverse history that spans thousands of years. Nigeria is a diverse nation with over 250 ethnic groups, each with its unique culture, languages, and traditions. It has a vibrant arts and entertainment scene, known for its literature, music (including Afrobeat), and film industry (Nollywood), which has gained international recognition. Nigeria is Africa’s most populous country and a major player in the continent’s political, economic, and cultural landscape. It continues to strive for stability, development, and unity while celebrating its rich heritage.
REGISTRATION
The registration counter will open at 2:00 pm, on 18th September 2023, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel and will remain operational from 8:00 am on subsequent days.
ENTRY & VISA REQUIREMENTS
To enter Nigeria, a valid passport with at least six months validity from the intended exit date is required. If your passport is close to expiring, it is important to renew it before your arrival and have a blank page for the visa stamp.
The Government of Nigeria will provide VISA on arrival for delegates that meet the necessary requirements. If you require a visa on arrival, please send an email to afigfvisa@ncc.gov.ng consisting of the following:
- Confirmed itinerary;
- Copy of Passport Data Page;
- Soft copy of passport photograph; and
- Confirmation of Registration.
Please note that delegates are responsible for their VISA fees.

 VISA ON ARRIVAL APPLICATION CLOSED
Application for Visa on Arrival (VoA) has now closed. We appreciate your promptness in submitting your applications within the stipulated timeline.
For Those Requiring Visa Assistance:
If you still require a visa to attend the 2023 Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) and missed the VoA application deadline, you may request support letters to facilitate your visa application from your home country.
The support letters will be provided to assist you in obtaining the necessary travel documents. You may request an invitation support letter by filling out the form here:

Citizens of all ECOWAS countries do not require a visa to enter Nigeria. If you are unsure whether you need a visa or not, please visit your nearest NiÂgerian Embassy or check ngconsulate.info/page/e-visa for further guidanÂce. You can also visit the website of the Nigerian Immigration Service at immigration.gov.ng for the cost of visa-on-arrival fee.
TRANSPORTATION
There are multiple flights available to Nigeria. We recommend checÂking with your travel agent to determine the most suitable flight for your needs. Many flights can be booked online, and it is advised to book flights that terminate in Abuja. The host country, via the NCC, will make arrangements for airport pick-up and drop-off, and hotel transporÂtation (to and fro venue) for delegates staying at the recommended hotels (see recommended hotels here).

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Please note that delegates are expected to have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever. It is expected that a Yellow Fever vaccination cerÂtificate be presented to Health Authorities at the Airport.
