The Inaugural African Judicial Dialogue on Internet Governance will take place as a high-level special track during the 15th Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF 2026) in Accra, Ghana. This dedicated Dialogue will bring together judges from across Africa to examine the legal and policy implications of the continent's rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The Dialogue provides a unique platform for judicial leaders to exchange experiences, strengthen their understanding of emerging digital issues, and engage with the broader Internet Governance community. Discussions will cover key topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital evidence, data protection, platform governance, digital rights, and other legal challenges arising from digital transformation.

As part of AfIGF 2026's commitment to inclusive and multistakeholder digital governance, the Judiciary Dialogue aims to strengthen judicial engagement in Internet Governance processes, promote peer learning across African jurisdictions, and advance rights-based, secure, and trusted digital governance across the continent.

The Dialogue aligns with the Forum's overarching theme: "Advancing Africa's Digital Future Through Innovation, Inclusion, and Trust."
