IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS
As you prepare to attend the African Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF 2025) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 29–31 May 2025, please note the mandatory travel insurance policy for all foreigners entering Zanzibar (for those planning to extend their stay or transit through Zanzibar after the event).
Effective October 1, 2024, the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar requires ALL FOREIGNERS (excluding residents) entering Zanzibar via seaport or airport to obtain valid Inbound Travel Insurance — covering the duration of their stay (up to 92 days).
Key Highlights:
Insurance must be purchased only from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation.
A QR code will be provided for verification.
This insurance offers coverage for emergencies including repatriation, evacuation, and more.
Failure to comply may lead to entry denial at immigration checkpoints.
