ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A valid passport, with at least six months to expiry date from the intended exit date, is required to enter Malawi. If your passport is likely to expire you should make sure to get a new one before arriving. Visas are not obtainable at points of entry but must be prior to entry, You are kindly advised to apply for your visa using this link evisa.gov.mw. . Please note that all commonwealth countries do not require a visa to Malawi. If you are not sure whether you need a VISA to the country or not, please visit your nearest Malawi embassy or contact the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) for advice. You can also visit the website of the Department of Immigration of Malawi evisa.gov.mw.
TRANSPORTATION
There are several flights that fly into Malawi especially Lilongwe like Malawian Airlines, Ethiopian Airways and Kenyan Airways. Please check with your travel agent to find out which flight will be most suitable for you. Most flights can also be booked online and it is recommended that you book your flights terminating in Lilongwe and not Blantyre. The host country via MACRA will arrange for in-country travel i.e. airport pick-up and drop-off, hotel pick-up and drop-off as well as transport for any arranged trips within the meeting programme. kindly let us know your Itinerary via info@afigf.africa
COVID 19 CERTIFICATES
Delegates are expected to have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Please carry a vaccination certificate against COVID-19 which is presented to health authorities at the Airport.
